San Silvestre Popular Palentina

Every December 31 the traditional San Silvestre Palentina is celebrated, the quintessential appointment of all the popular races in Palencia and even in Spain, as it remains the second most important event of these characteristics after the Vallecana. The start and finish are located on Calle San Antonio. The average number of participants, which rises year after year to exceed 7,000 registered, and the high presence of spectators in the streets make it an authentic sports festival that concludes with various acts, such as the awards ceremony, music or fireworks.
